Definition and Function of CNC Machines
CNC Machine (Computer Numerical Control) is a machine used in the Manufacturing Industry to produce components for the Engineering Sector in large quantities quickly. CNC machines are needed to help with the manufacture of manufactur tools on a large scale. CNC machines are integrated with the computer so that in the manufacture of various forms can produce excellent precision.
Examples of implementation of cnc machine use include in the process of making small parts such as nuts, bolts, screws and so on. CNC machines work by receiving instructions from the computer so that they can cut and drill very precisely according to the desired precision. With this machine is very helpful to save power and time and handle the limitations of human skills.
How CNC Machines Work
CNC machines are equipped with computers that can process images or designs of the components to be made. The computer-processed image is then processed into a program and instructions that can be executed after the instructions are received cnc machine will start working processing the goods to be made.
Programs stored in the computer can be changed and re-customized to process details and other items you want to create. Programmers can change and rewrite existing code in accordance with the terms. CNC machines work automatically according to the program.
In general CNC machines are distinguished into two types of machines namely CNC Milling Machine and CNC Lathe.
1. CNC Milling Machine
CNC Milling machine is used in the milling process which is the process of cutting and drilling materials. This machine can be operated manually or automatically to process the inputted program. This machine has a rotating silidris machine and can perform the material cutting process well.
2. CNC Lathe Machine
This CNC machine works for the lathe process against the desired material. Just like this type of CNC Miling machine works with the operation included in the computer program. The machine works according to the design and process entered into the computer system by the programmer. The design that has programmed, then processed by CNC machine so that material can be made according to the design.
